IUEOA asbl, association pour la culture et le développement durable est active dans le domaine culturel et artistique (édition de magazines, workshops, événements). De plus l’association est à l’origine des projets Rekults, qui investissent des lieux en voie de démolition et sont des plateformes d’expression autours du
développement durable. Un nouveau bâtiment est dés à présent mis à disposition à l’association pour une
nouvelle édition.

ESPRIT ET OBJECTIF
Le temps de deux week-ends, l’association IUEOA propose d’investir les lieux (plusieurs centaines de mètres carrés) une dernière fois avant leur démolition. A travers un parcours didactique, ludique et interactif, les visiteurs seront invités à découvrir la vision des artistes sur le développement durable. Les thèmes peuvent être très variés: la pollution, le recyclage, la nourriture, l’impact CO2 sur la planète, les déchets, les populations concernés par le catastrophes environnementales, la biodiversité… (exemples des éditions passées sur http://iueoa.lu/fr/category/evenements)

IUEOA est ouvert à toute forme de créations (installations, photographies, dessins, vidéos, performance, théâtre, musique…) Un aspect important est la conception de l’oeuvre de manière à utiliser des objets recyclés, des déchets ou des matières premières naturelles si possibles.

Des collaborations entre artistes sont possibles ainsi que des interventions in situ, puisque le lieu est actuellement vide.

Although, the results are far from being satisfying, the energy of the tausends of people, ngo’s and associations was quite positive.

First we want to thank all the people who visited the exhibition REKULT volume 02. You were more than 700 people and that is many more than expected.

Of course we thank all the artists and the musicians for their work and performance. We don’t forget the people who helped us before and during the exhibition, and we also thank the Oekozenter and Mouvement écologique for their offer to “rekultivate” their offices before the demolition . See you perhaps at the third edition, somewhere in the future…

Rekult volume 02 – an exhibition in a place that from tomorrow will no longer exist

The building of the OekoZenter lives its last days…

Before its demolition, IUEOA asbl will invest the place with an exbibition for two weekends, as they have previously done this year in a family house in Alzingen.

This time, about 20 artists propose to discover the world of sustainable development in a new and fresh way. An interactive circuit will transport you through a different experience in each room. You will re-discover the themes of pollution, food issues, recycling, the impact of CO2, and biodiverstity through the mediums of photography, drawings, video, music and art installations. Furthermore, you will be brought back to the past of this building that has a long story to tell and which will make way for a new energy contrsuction: the new centre of sustainable development in Luxembourg.

Visuals, graphic art and sound installations will be by Birgit Thalau, Catarina Riccabona, Emilie Marc, Gaël, Hye Young Yun, Jenny Fischbach, Katia Frieders, Kerstin Thalau & Serge Lamesch, Max Mertens, Michel Fisch, Paul Killeen, romainSOussan, Sandy Lorente, Saskia Raux & Marc Scozzai, Steve Clement & Syn2cate, and Sven Becker.

Concerts during the exhibition coordinated by SCHNURSTRAX Records :
